Hey, everyone! Good news. We came to Cinci on Sunday to have a routine scope on Monday. That went well… real well. So, Gabe’s surgeon had him stay to be admitted today - Thursday 11/13 - TO HAVE THE TRACH OUT!!!

Interestingly enough, Gabe has been saying for almost a month, “My trach is coming out this visit.” That really wasn’t part of the plan, so we would chuckle together and remind Gabe that it was going to be a few more months.

At the same time, Gabe was asking a lot of questions about hearing from God. He wanted to know why God didn’t answer his prayers audibly; he wanted to know why God didn’t honor his little “fleece” requests… typical stuff. However, he was consistently asking God for healing and to get the trach out as he has consistently for a year… Well, I think Gabe got his answer.

It just goes to show that prayer is a very complex thing. God is not our own personal genie in the sky. God will not be tested - even by children he loves very much. However, good things come to those who wait on the Lord in consistent prayer.

Please pray that Gabe’s two-night stay works out and that he goes home on Saturday with no trach.
