Just wanted to let you know that Janet and Gabe are back. Gabe’s procedure went very well. His airway is still open and large. He did have some scar tissue (granuloma) at the place where his stoma used to be. That was removed.
The big news is that Gabe’s stoma has been pressure tested, and it is completely closed. GABE WILL BE ALLOWED TO SWIM FOR THE FIRST TIME IN HIS LIFE THIS SUMMER!!!
Hope you can take a moment and thank God for this good news. I also hope you know that your prayers matter to Jesus and you are a big part of Gabe’s healing. God heals today! It happens according to God’s timeframe, but it God heals.
TRINITY continues to move forward. Perhaps not at the pace, I’d like, but forward.
One week ago Saturday (4/25), we participated in the Cleveland Strawberry Festival. We gave out about 1700 invitations and balloon sculpture (the little animals and hats that the clowns make) as well as about 800 bags with invitations and a DVD of the gospel (a Jesus-film-like portrayal).
We just had our fourth preview event. We’ve been holding these monthly. They are social events with a mini worship service. This last time we also added children’s programming through 5th grade that went very well. These events are quite easy to put on monthly, but I’ve been disappointed at the turn-out. We’ve averaged 40 and probably seen around 100 distinct people.
I am continuing to gear-up for our weekly exhibition season. This is basically a “soft” launch preceding the real launch. I’ve all but decided to move it up to the final Sunday of August to take advantage of the “back to school” wave of “fall” activity. This would mean a launch season beginning on All Saints Day and ending on Thanksgiving weekend. It would be conveniently followed by Advent and Christmas which should be strong building times.
Gabe is headed to Cincinatti this week for check-up surgery. He’ll go under around 8:45 am on Friday morning. Pray! We’re hoping for good news and a declaration that Gabe is fit to swim.
For prayer:
Protection for the Wehrle family.
Ever-increasing joy in serving the Lord as a family in NC.
A strong finish to the preview season of the the plant.
A strong start to the exhibition season.
Continued healing and good news for Gabe!
